Periodontal Care for Your Smile
We understand that your oral health includes much more than just your teeth, it includes your gum and bone tissue too. Dr. Varghese John offers patients experienced periodontal services that range from gum disease treatment [link to gum disease page] to frenectomies and grafting. Taking care of gums and bone is essential for your oral health, as they protect and anchor your teeth in place. We offer many periodontal services in-house, so you do not have to worry about traveling to another doctor or taking more time out of your busy schedule to receive the care you need.
PERIODONTAL SERVICES THAT WE OFFER
Periodontal Care For Your SmileWe offer state-of-the-art laser gum therapy services using the WaterLase® iPlus™ and EPIC™ X dental lasers. Laser therapy is a minimally invasive approach to gum care and involves no scalpels, sutures and minimal bleeding or pain.
Periodontal MaintenanceFor those under the effects of periodontitis or advanced periodontitis, regular maintenance visits are essential to keeping the mouth healthy. We will be able to clean affected areas of bacteria and ensure that your gums and bone do not become damaged.
Laser FrenectomyA frenulum that is too tight on your upper lip or under your tongue could cause pain, problems with speech, or have a negative aesthetic appearance. We offer frenectomy treatment with our dental lasers for a minimally invasive and virtually pain free treatment.
Ridge Augmentation And PreservationMissing teeth, oral trauma or periodontal disease can all cause the loss of bone in your jaw. When bone is lost, teeth become loose or can even fall out and your facial appearance may change. Without adequate bone, dental implants are also unable to be placed. Ridge augmentation and preservation allows us to restore lost bone to create acceptable levels for implants and your oral health.
Sinus LiftWhen dental implants need to be placed in the area of your molars and premolars, you need to have sufficient amount of bone in that upper arch. If you have a large sinus cavity or have previous bone loss, you may not qualify for dental implants. A sinus lift [link to bone graft page] restores bone just under the sinus cavity to help you have the adequate amount for implants.
Soft Tissue RecontouringWhen dental implants need to be placed in the area of your molars and premolars, you need to have sufficient amount of bone in that upper arch. If you have a large sinus cavity or have previous bone loss, you may not qualify for dental implants. A sinus lift restores bone just under the sinus cavity to help you have the adequate amount for implants.
Guided Tissue RegenerationWhen you have had a surgery performed on your gums, we can improve the healing timeframe with guided tissue regeneration. Using samples of your blood, we will be able to use this technique at the surgery location to drastically increase the healing and likely provide a more natural appearance.
