Full Mouth Reconstruction Can Completely Restore Your Smile

If your smile is compromised by several oral health issues, you need a comprehensive plan of action. Full mouth reconstruction combines several procedures to fully restore the health, balance, comfort, and appearance of your smile. Every full mouth reconstruction plan is customized for your specific needs. Dr. Varghese John is a highly trained restorative dentist who can rebuild your smile with dental implants, bridges, crowns, and any other treatments that you need. If you are considering a full mouth reconstruction, contact our Sugar Land office today to learn more.

The procedures involved in full mouth reconstruction, as well as the final cost, vary for each patient. Dr. John will take time to identify any issues affecting your smile, including missing teeth, gum disease, jaw atrophy, decay, and suspicious lesions. Next, he will recommend the combination of treatments necessary to correct these conditions and fully rebuild your smile.
Before you begin your full mouth restoration, Dr. John will create a digital image of what your final results can look like. This way, you can more easily discuss your goals with him. Before your final restorations are created, Dr. John will provide you with a temporary restoration that you can try out for a few weeks. By wearing your temporary restoration, you can identify any discomfort or interference the device creates. Dr. John will note your feedback and use this information to provide you with a permanent restoration that is comfortable and functional, while providing a natural appearance.

If a patient is missing teeth, dental implants are the very best way to replace tooth roots and support restorations. In fact, dental implants are recommended in most full mouth reconstruction plans. Dr. John will determine what type of implants and what method of placement is appropriate. He is a distinguished restorative dentist who trained at The Misch International Implant Institute™, where he learned different implant surgery techniques and honed his skill in restorative dentistry.
Dr. John can place single implants for crowns or bridges, or several implants to support a full arch. He also uses the All-on-4® technique, which allows him to place implants and restore them with a full arch denture in a single day.
When a patient waits a long period of time to address lost teeth, bone atrophy con occur in the jaw. In most cases, Dr. John can use digital imaging technology to determine how to place implants in an atrophied jaw without having to perform a bone graft. However, in other cases, a bone graft is absolutely necessary. Dr. John can also perform a sinus lift, which involves augmenting the upper jaw to avoid interference with the sinuses.

For patients who need a full-arch replacement, Advanced Dentistry proudly provides the Prettau® Zirconia implant-supported bridge. Zirconia is a remarkably durable, very natural-looking material that will not chip, become discolored, or absorb odors. This advanced device is gaining popularity for its exceptionally lifelike appearance and durability.
